SCOTT LERNER is a sculptor whose work fuses ancient relics and science fiction technology. He received his MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), a Post baccalaureate certificate in studio art from Brandeis University and his BA from Oberlin College.

He has taught contemporary art history and painting at RISD, UMass Dartmouth, and North Shore Community College. He currently teaches acrylic painting at RISD Continuing Education.

His work has recently been included in In Response: The Sassoons at the Jewish Museum in NYC and No White Walls at Yale University.

In addition to his art making and teaching, Scott founded and runs East Manning Projects (EMP), an apartment gallery located in Providence, RI. He has curated and co curated nine exhibitions for EMP. In 2024, EMP won a “Best of Rhode Island Award.”
